Sara Zambelli from West Milford High School was a freshman who played third base this past season for the Caldwell College (Caldwell, New Jersey) softball program. She started in 53 games and recorded 32 hits, including five doubles and a home run. Zambelli also scored 27 runs and tallied 11 RBIs.
As a team, the Cougars collected an overall record of 39-16 and they were 18-4 on their home field. In Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competition, Caldwell’s record was 21-5.
Caldwell finished with a 2-2 record at the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament held in New Haven, Connecticut. They topped the University of Massachusetts Lowell and Assumption College, but were defeated by the University of Massachusetts Lowell in a rematch as well as Southern Connecticut State in the East Region Tournament. Zambelli is listed as a Communications major.

A sophomore listed as a Elementary Education major, Marissa Bariso was a catcher for the New Jersey City University (Jersey City, New Jersey) softball program. Bariso started in 37 games and recorded 26 hits, which included 10 doubles and five home runs. She posted 23 RBIs and scored 25 runs for the Gothic Knights. New Jersey City netted 12 overall wins, six of which occurred on their home field, this spring.
Ashlee Geiger was a freshman pitcher this past spring for the Kean University (Union, New Jersey) softball team. Geiger started in 11 games and earned three pitching victories. She had a 30 earned run average and struck out 35 batters.
The Cougars were 24-19 overall and had a mark of 9-5 at home. In New Jersey Athletic Conference competition, they were 10-8. Kean went 1-2 in the NJAC Tournament.
As a sophomore second baseman for the Felician College (New Jersey) softball squad, Halei Van Dyke played in 43 games this spring. She had 27 hits, which included five doubles, two triples and a pair of home runs. Van Dyke tallied 15 RBIs and scored 10 runs.
The Golden Eagles had an overall record of 18-34 and they were 9-9 at home. Van Dyke is listed as a Special Education major.
Lucas Lamb was listed as a freshman on the roster of the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s (Newark, New Jersey) men’s track and field program.
