— Registration for the 2013 Little League season is now underway. Go to www.wmbaseball.org and click the link for registration on the bottom left.

Players registered from last year are already in the system, so the process is very easy. New players will need to enter their names and other basic information, but it is a quick and easy process.

For this year's volunteer work bond, check drop-off at Hillcrest Community Center during in person registration. Registration dates at Hillcrest are Saturday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, Jan. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon.

All work bond checks will be collected then and parents will sign up for tryout dates. The work bond buyout is $50 and can be done online or in person.

This year, the West Milford Little League is introducing a new intermediate division for 13-year-olds. This division has pitching from 50 feet and bases at 70 feet. It also includes leading and pick-offs. Thirteens will have the option of this league or playing with the 14-year-olds on the 60/90 diamond.

The T-ball division is for new players who are at least 5 years old by April 30, 2013. New 6-year-olds must play T-ball as well. April 30, 2013 is the cut-off for all league ages.

Six-year-olds who played T-ball and 7-year-olds play in the Instructional Division where coaches pitch.

Eight-year-olds play in Junior Minors where players and coaches pitch.

Nine, 10- and 11-year-olds play in the Minors.

Ten, 11- and 12-year-olds play in the Majors, with a maximum of two 10-year-olds per team.
