The Ringwood Farmers’ Market’s Opening Day on Saturday, May 23, will mark the start of its 9th season providing locally grown produce and products each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ringwood Park and Ride. On Opening Day, customers will be welcomed by the Eat Local, Inc. board of directors and Mayor Walter Davison. Vendors look forward to greeting familiar faces and meeting new customers.

Most of last year’s vendors are returning, providing customers with a wide variety of locally grown and produced food. The market welcomes Spoon Me Soups and Quarterbites for the 2015 season. Returning as a full-time vendor is Cactus Pete's Beef Jerky.

Shop for the freshest local fruits and vegetables along with the area’s finest baked goods, honey, farm-fresh eggs, grass-fed beef, lamb, pork and poultry, homemade jam, fresh pasta and ravioli, pizza, pickles, coffee, herbs and other plants and so much more.

Pop artist Garrett Gardner, a top-12 contender on season 4 of The Voice, will be performing on opening day. Gardner is a 19-year-old singer and songwriter from Ringwood who performs funky pop, rock and blues. He is a member of the band Zerotwenty, based in Amsterdam and composed of contestants on The Voice from all over the world.

The market offers a barrier-free environment including complete access for patrons using wheelchairs and FM listening systems available on request. Contact Mindy Leone at melinda.leone@gmail.com for availability. This program is made possible in part by a sponsorship from TD Bank as well as the Passaic County Cultural and Heritage Council from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

The Ringwood Park and Ride is located on Cannici Drive off of Skyline Drive behind Ringwood Commons and next to the Ringwood Public Library. For more information about the Ringwood Farmers' Market, log on to www.RingwoodFarmersMarket.org, and visit us them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
