Clyde is a gentle, sweet adult cat who would be a great addition to a special family.
WEST MILFORD — If this spring is like all past springs, kittens will begin arriving at The West Milford Animal Shelter soon. Until then, there are many loving adult cats waiting for new families and homes.
The one that has been waiting the longest is named Clyde. He has been at the shelter for a little over a year. Until recently, he was very shy but since some of the cats that he roomed with in one of the shelter's cattery areas (a free roaming area for cats) have been the lucky ones to be adopted, his personality has begun to emerge. He has become much friendlier, loves attention and is a loving and kind "gentlecat."
Once the kittens start to arrive, Clyde and the other adult cats will have much less of a chance of finding their new forever homes. Clyde is four years old, neutered, up-to-date with all inoculations and has been tested for FIV/Feline Leukemia. He would be a great special friend.
Walk or run for the shelter If you can't adopt but would like to help the homeless animals, the shelter is hosting a 5K walk/run on May 4, 2014. Details and registration information is on the shelter's Web site, www.westmilfordanimalshelter.org. If you can't attend but would like to make a donation, there is a link on the registration page.
