  • Willow took first place in the annual bonnet contest at Hillcrest Community Center. Here she is wearing her beautiful bonnet with her proud uncle, Councilman Mike Hensley.

  • Pastels were plentiful - as were bunnies and eggs - on these bonnets.

  • Kids participated in crafts at the spring celebration, held on Saturday.

  • Rabbit ears, a carrot, Easter basket grass - this little girl had it all on her bonnet.

  • Photos by Don Webb A tea party was the theme for the spring celebration, held by the township's Community Services and Recreation Department, and this little girl certainly kept with the theme.

The annual spring celebration had a twist this year. While the West Milford Community Services and Recreation event included the tradition bonnet contest, this "Alice in Wonderland" themed event included crafts and games, pictures with the bunny and treat stations, all part of the magical journey "down the rabbit hole." But it is the annual bonnet contest that brings out the most creativity and fun. This year was no different. Many of the participants kept with the Alice theme too. Others just went wild with their spring creations. It all happened on Saturday, April 5, at Hillcrest Community Center.
