Teaming up for reading

Marshall Hill School celebrated "Read Across America Week" with learning, smiles and activities each day of the week. As part of the “Team Up and Read With Your Friends Day,” students were encouraged to wear their favorite professional or recreational team attire. This also meant teaming up to read with a selection of high school athletes. West Milford’s wrestling coach Mike Blakely was accompanied by a group of wrestlers and team statisticians to share their love of reading and Dr. Seuss with the younger students. The guest “team” readers went from classroom to classroom reading their favorite Dr. Seuss books and even answering questions about high school. It was a great tribute to the importance of reading and teamwork.
