NEWFOUNDLAND — Fire Company #2 on Route 23 in Newfoundland welcomed the community last Saturday at its open house. The firefighters demonstrated the jobs they frequently perform, including a vehicle extrication, rescuing someone from a smoke house and putting out a grease fire.

The members explained the duties and responsibilities of a volunteer firefighter and hoped they would interest some residents to volunteer alongside them.
