Friends of the Library hosting annual book sale
WEST MILFORD — Do you wish you could read the book you missed in your favorite mystery author’s series? Is there a thriller you haven’t read and can’t find now? Would your children like to add to their book collection? Is cost a factor in deciding to add to your library?The perennially popular book sale sponsored by the Friends of the West Milford Township Library may satisfy your craving. A super collection of gently used books, CDs and more will be for sale at very reasonable prices. The sale begins Wednesday, April 30, from 3 to 8 p.m., continues Thursday and Friday, May 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and concludes Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the West Milford Presbyterian Church Parish House at 1452 Union Valley Road.Books will be arranged by categories including novels, romance, children’s and youth, cookbooks, history and biography, non-fiction, coffee table beauties, and others in hard cover and paperback format.Income from the sale goes to benefit the library to fulfill some of its needs not provided for in the budget such as special prizes for the summer reading program for children and supplemental funding for the summer evening cultural events.Residents wishing to make book donations for the sale may call Marty Tappan at 973-697-6835 or drop off at 80 Ridge Road. Please do not call or take books to the library or church.The Friends of the West Milford Township Library is a growing volunteer organization dedicated to promoting enthusiasm for the library’s resources and services and to raising funds for the library’s unsatisfied needs. Persons wishing to become new members are encouraged to join at any time.
