Filling unexpired terms
The West Milford Township Board of Education will soon begin the process of filling the two current seats of the Richards', who announced recently they are moving out of the township. Both were elected for a second three-year term this past November, which will expire in 2016. As a result, the board will begin interviewing candidates for appointment to fill those seats for the remainder of 2014. The Richards' are leaving the board on May 31. The school board must fill those positions within 60 days of vacancy. Those interested in applying for the appointment to these seats should contact the board office for information to be considered for the interview process.

Running in November
All potential candidates for the three three-year terms as well as the two unexpired terms must file nominating petitions with the Passaic County Clerk's office by July 28 to be included on the November election ballot.

The three seats that expire at the end of 2014 are currently held by board Vice President Wayne Gottlieb, Matthew Conlon, and Marilyn Schultz.
