WEST MILFORD — West Milford Community Services and Recreation, in conjunction with A.A.R.P., will be sponsoring a Smart Driver Safety Program on Thursday, June 26, 2014.

The class will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a break for lunch.

The program will be held at the Hillcrest Community Center (room 17), 1810 Macopin Road Road, West Milford. The cost is $15 for A.A.R.P. members and $20 for non members. Members must bring their A.A.R.P. card when registering.

The course helps drivers refine existing skills and develop safe, defensive driving techniques. There are no tests and no behind the wheel.

Upon completing the class, participants will be eligible to receive a state-mandated discount on their auto insurance. Certificates will be issued upon completion of class.

Participants may also be eligible to recover points on their driving record, and have points credited on their insurance. Call the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Department at 609-292-7500 to confirm the status.

Seating is limited. To register for the class, call 973-728-2871 or 2862.
