  • The West Milford Senior Olympic team came in second in the Tri-County Senior Olympics on May 21 in Sparta.

2nd place West Milford
3rd place Sparta
4th place Wayne

West Milford seniors took second place overall at the Tri County Senior Olympics on May 21 in Sparta.

West Milford competed against seniors from Pequannock, Randolph, Rutherford, Sparta, and Wayne. Each town has six teams of four participants. Each team competes in the following six events: basketball throw, t-ball, horseshoes, soccer kick, Frisbee golf and chicken toss.

West Milford Community Services and Recreation is extremely proud of the performance of the seniors.

The West Milford medal winners are:

Basketball
Men: Bill Novak - 1st place

Women: Dot Casella - 2nd place
Horseshoes

Women: Jane Dell’Osso - 1st place

Frisbee Golf

Men: Bill Novak - 1st place

Hank Runo - 3rd place

Chicken Toss

Men: Hank Runo - 1st place

Dick Wirth - 2nd place

Women: Christel Dygos - 2nd place

T-Ball

Men: Sal Leto - 1st place

Women: Nona Runo - 2nd place
