Looking for ways to give back to the community? It's never too early to think about helping out Sustainable West Milford and those less fortunate in the area in either of the following ways:

Volunteer to Harvest
Volunteer with Sustainable West Milford to help harvest excess produce from the Organic Community Garden and deliver it to local food pantries (Queen of Peace, Holy Faith, St. Joseph's and West Milford Presbyterian Church).

Contact Cathy at 973-728-8578 or email at cgb2673@optonline.net to volunteer or to learn more.

Donate your Excess Produce
Backyard gardener should consider donating excess squash, tomatoes, or other produce. Donations will be included with excess harvested from the Organic Community Garden in deliveries to local food pantries and shelters in West Milford.

Produce that is fresh and suitable for eating can be dropped off at the Community Garden at Apple Acres Farm, 1064 Union Valley Road in West Milford on Fridays, between 6 and 7 p.m., from June through October.

Visit Ample Harvest at www.ampleharvest.org to find out more, including guidelines on what food is acceptable and how it should be prepared. For more information on the Ample Harvest West Milford Program, visit the Sustainable West Milford web site, www.sustainablewestmilford.org, or call Cathy at 973-728-8578.
