Macopin Middle School math teacher, Sharon Murphy and her advisory class took their Service Learning Project to Maple Road School. Each student in Murphy’s advisory class paired up with a student in Danielle Pearce's second grade class at Maple Road School. Throughout the year, they wrote letters back and forth mainly answering the younger students' questions about middle school and giving them advice on how to succeed in elementary school. During their visit, the pen pals got to know each other and read books together.
