  • How could you resist this face? Tyler has personality and is sweet. He will make a great addition to your family.

Anniversaries are usually happy occasions. They are to be celebrated, such as a weddings, years in business or at a company. The date you met your partner or best friend.

There is an anniversary coming up at the West Milford Animal Shelter that is bittersweet.

A handsome ginger cat, Tyler, is coming up on his one year anniversary of being at the West Milford Animal Shelter. He arrived at the shelter on Aug. 23, 2013. Sweet because he is safe, well cared for and loved at the shelter; bitter because he is still waiting for a home and someone to think he is special.

And Tyler is very special. He is affectionate and loving with an assertive and feisty side. He has "Ying and Yang" - a feminine and a masculine side. He is about three years old.

He was adopted a few months ago but his personality was a bit overwhelming for the adopter's gentle female cat.

Tyler is currently staying in one of the shelter's catteries, an area where the cats are free roaming, and he does get along with the other cats. But apparently what Tyler likes is dogs. Perhaps he is a "cat/dog."

The next one year anniversary Tyler would like to celebrate would be one year with a family and home of his own. Why not make it happen. He is a sweetie and very handsome. He'll be a great addition to most families.

Tyler is neutered, tested for FIV/Feline Leukemia (negative), and up-to-date with all inoculations and medical needs.

For information, call 973-728-2859 or visit www.westmilfordanimalshelter.org or the shelter's two facebook pages (links are on the website).

The shelter is located on Lycosky Drive (behind recycling).
