Three injured in car/motorcycle accident

A Glenwood woman was seriously injured Sunday when the motorcycle on which she was a passenger collided with a Nissan Altima on Warwick Turnpike near the Old School Pub. The accident occurred at 6:50 p.m.

Debra A. Runnalls, 50, was flown by medivac helicopter to St. Joseph's hospital in Paterson. Her condition was not known.

According to police, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by James P. Kata, 52, of Otisville, N.Y. collided with the 2008 Nissan, driven by Daniel P. Mahan, 28, of Wanaque. Runnalls was Kata's passenger on the motorcycle. Allison DiDomenico, 27 of Blauvelt, N.Y., the passenger in the car, also needed medical treatment following the collision. Kata was transported to Chilton Hospital by the upper Greenwood Lake First Aid Squad with minor injuries.

The incident is currently under investigation by the West Milford Police Department Crash Investigation Unit and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
