West Milford is getting more than $214,000 in county open space grants.

The County Board of Chosen Freeholders notified Mayor Bettina Bieri late last month that West Milford's applications for funding for Farrell Field, Nosenzo Pond Park and the acquisition of the Highlands Trail Connector were recommended and approved by the board.

The township will receive $54,621 for Farrell Field, $31,136 for Nosenzo Pond Park and $128,520 for the Highlands Trail Connector. The money is from the Passaic County Open Space Trust Fund.
