  • Tully, who was named after a Ghost Buster character just like Spengler and another buddy Gozer, is the lone kitten at the shelter ready for adoption.

  • Spengler was adopted just last week.

There are so many animal lovers in West Milford and one, Donna Cook, of Weichert Realtors, wants to help with a food and supply drive and to designate Weichert Realtors, located at 1467 Union Valley Road in West Milford, as a permanent drop-off location.

Cook is organizing this with the help of her granddaughter and grandson who decorated the box for the lobby of the Weichert office.

The shelter's complete "wish list" of food and supplies that are needed are on the shelter's website, www.westmilfordanimalshelter.org. or call the shelter at 973-728-2859.

Anyone can drop off supplies at the Weichert office from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week. For more information, call Cook at 973-800-0336.

The shelter is running low on the following items:

Purina Cat Chow dry food (blue bag)

Canned cat food - any brand - pate style preferred

Pedigree Canned Dog Food (Any variety)

Gerber Baby Chicken Food (Blue Label)

Rubber household gloves - sizes Medium and Large

Toilet paper

Clorox Clean-Up Spray 9 or similar item)

And for those who are looking to adopt a kitten this season, there is but one left that is ready to be adopted, and his name is Tully. There are a few in foster homes but Tully is the only one at the shelter ready for adoption.

Of course, there are a number of adult cats available. All are welcome to stop by and meet them. The shelter is located on Lycosky Drive, behind the Recycling Center. Or go to their website or their facebook pages.
