The final "Concert Under the Stars" was held on Tuesday night, a great night for a beach concert. The ever-popular Parrot Beach, which provides a tribute to the music of Jimmy Buffet - took over at Bubbling Springs, much to the delight of more than 600 enthusiastic attendees who danced the night away on the sand.

The concerts are organized by the township's Community Services and Recreation Department, along with many sponsors.

"We would like to thank, once again, our executive sponsors for their generosity. Without their donations, this series could not take place," said a release from Community Services and Recreation.

Executive sponsors were: Inserra Supermarkets-Shop Rite of West Milford, BC Marketing Services, Hewitt, Sound On The Run, West Milford, Lisa Del Vecchio, Linda Lee Sokerka – Coldwell Banker Realtors, Kinnelon/Butler, Jewelry Repair Center L.L.C., West Milford, A.C. Daughtry Security Systems, Montville, Doherty Enterprises – Applebee’s, Butler and the West Milford Democratic Club.

Associate sponsor was George and Donna DeGraaf of West Milford.

The "Concerts Under the Stars" are made possible in part by a grant administered by the Passaic County Cultural and Heritage Council from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Donations are always accepted at any level so that the concerts may continue next year. Anyone wishing to donate should call Community Services and Recreation at 973-728-2860.
