Free eye screening for New Jersey residents

WEST MILFORD — The New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Passaic County Department of Health with the support of the West Milford Health Department are holding a free eye screening on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at West Milford Town Hall, 1480 Union Valley Road.

This screening is open to all New Jersey residents. To make an appointment, contact the Passaic County Department of Health at 973-881-4396.

Kick up your heals

WEST MILFORD — Want to dance? Sign up for the township's country line dance classes. The classes are for adults 18 and up at the Hillcrest Community Center.

Beginner classes are on Tuesday nights, Feb. 21 through March 28 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Intermediate classes are Thursday nights, Feb. 23 through March 30 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Register online at http://register.communitypass.net, click on the West Milford link. Enter your user name and password, or create a new account if you don’t have one. Or, register in person at the West Milford Recreation Center, 66 Cahill Cross Road, during regular hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or call the Recreation Office at 973-728-2860.

Registration will close on Feb. 17, 2017.

Mt Airy Casino/Resort Trip

WEST MILFORD — West Milford Community Services and Recreation, Office of Older Adult Services, is offering a trip to Mt. Airy Casino in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, May 24. The trip includes a 1 p.m. show – Shades of Buble - Swinging Sinatra Style, buffet and $10 slot play. All patrons must have a Players Club Card to use the cash bonus. You can get one on arrival with proper government issued ID.

The bus will leave Hillcrest Community Center at 8:30 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $56. Call 973-728-2871 to register beginning Feb. 1.
