Summer flies but kids have fun on the beach

Bubbling Springs was the site of a Teen Beach Party for current last school year's seventh and eighth graders. The event was co-sponsored by the West Milford Community Services and Recreation Department and Community Against Substance Abuse (CASA).

The teens enjoyed exclusive use of the Bubbling Springs recreation facility in a fun night of supervised swimming, dancing, games, and hanging out at the beach with their friends to kick off their summer vacation. The concession stand was also open for business for the kids to purchase food, drinks, snacks and treats.

For the newly promoted eighth graders moving on to high school next month, the fun was bittersweet since this was their final opportunity to attend a Teen Beach Party together. They enjoyed the night laughing and socializing together and making summer plans.

A beach party for incoming seventh and eighth graders is planned for Aug. 28. Forms are available online at www.westmilford.org in the forms and documents section, or call WMCSR at 973-728-2860 for information.
