Retirement and estate strategies are topics at Methodist Church seminar
NEWFOUNDLAND — Have questions about your finances as retirement approaches? Or how to set things up so your heirs or charities receive your assets? The United Methodist Church at Newfoundland is hosting a free financial event, Retirement and Estate Strategies, on Monday, March 27. Neil Michielsen, a representative of Thrivent Financial, will be the host. Richard Hopkins, FIC, a financial consultant for Thrivent Financial, will be the special guest speaker. Among the topics that will be addressed are: How to accumulate and distribute money for retirement How to pass on money to heirs or charities in a tax-wise manner Increasing the probability of investment success Multi-generation IRA planning The seminar will be held at 3 and 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 65 LaRue Road in Newfoundland.
