Retirement and estate strategies are topics at Methodist Church seminar

Have questions about your finances as retirement approaches? Or how to set things up so your heirs or charities receive your assets?

The United Methodist Church at Newfoundland is hosting a free financial event, Retirement and Estate Strategies, on Monday, March 27.

Neil Michielsen, a representative of Thrivent Financial, will be the host. Richard Hopkins, FIC, a financial consultant for Thrivent Financial, will be the special guest speaker.

Among the topics that will be addressed are:

How to accumulate and distribute money for retirement

How to pass on money to heirs or charities in a tax-wise manner

Increasing the probability of investment success

Multi-generation IRA planning

The seminar will be held at 3 and 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 65 LaRue Road in Newfoundland.
