WEST MILFORD — If it's summer, you know it is time for the “Music Under the Stars” series at the Rotary Gazebo at Bubbling Springs Park.

The Rockaholics kick off by music series on Tuesday, June 27. The band features "Jimmy the Barber" and classic rock from the 1960s through the 1980s. This four-piece band is an area staple. Their music and humorous antics make for great family fun.

Tequila Rose plays at the Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 1, at Macopin Middle School. This band is one of the hottest country acts around. Be sure to put on your dancing boots for this show.

Next up is Country Comfort on Tuesday, July 11. Winner of Nash FM’s Battle of the Bands, this band plays a mix of contemporary Top 40 country tunes from male and female artists. Get up, sing and dance along! It’s always a great time with Country Comfort.

Rockamundo takes the Rotary gazebo stage on July 18. The band offers a little bit of everything, top pop and rock hits of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Jam with this five-piece band.

The Carl Richards Band has opened for major country artists around the country. The group, which plays classic country tunes, plays the summer concert series in town on July 25. Richards is originally from West Milford.

Mark your calendar for Aug. 8. That's when Lions Lantern, a West Milford original, plays a mixture of rock, country, top hits and originals at the concert series.

Finally, welcome back The Kootz. It's "rock n' roll with fiber" as this fan favorite band plays a variety of classic rock, pop, soul and blues. This main stage attraction makes its return to the concert series, closing out the summer concert series on Aug. 15.

All Tuesday concerts are free and held at the Rotary gazebo in Bubbling Springs, 1468 Macopin Road, starting at 7 p.m., except for the Independence Day concert, which is on Saturday, July 1.

So bring a chair or blanket and head out with your neighbors and friends to these community concerts.

This program is made possible in part by a grant administered by the Passaic County Cultural and Heritage Council from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
