The Apshawa Elementary School Student Council planned and executed a school dance where the admission was one can of food for each attendee. The Apshawa families who attended were extremely generous in their donations with many families donating bags of food.

The donations of food and personal toiletry items were split between the food pantries at St. Joseph's Church and West Milford Presbyterian Church. The student council members met with pantry staff members in June to deliver the goods and to learn more about how the pantries help those in need within the West Milford community.
