West Milford's First Annual Road to Resources Event to be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 at the West Milford library located at 1470 Union Valley Road.

Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m.

The West Milford Health Advisory Board said representatives from local organizations will speak about community resources available to West Milford residents with special needs and their families.

Topics to be discussed include: the West Milford School District's special education programs, recreational opportunities for children with special needs, pre-vocational opportunities, transitional services, safety and communication, as well as support resources for families.

Free informational packets and safety tools will be available.

Speakers include:

Dr. Liz McQuaid, director of special services, WMTPS.

Ms.Karyn Reinhold, special education teacher and West Milford Special Olympics coach.

Mrs. Maggie Drew, coordinator of services for individuals with disabilities. Jewish Family Services of Metrowest.

Ms. Kristi Clave, local special education teacher and West Milford Special Olympics coach.
