The West Milford Lakes Committee is hosting a meeting for the general public on Monday, Sept. 18 to inform all residents, especially those who live at lake communities, about local lake dams and the relationship of residents to them.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the council meeting room at the West Milford Municipal Building.
The presenter will be John Kale of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Dam Safety Unit. He is Supervising Environmental Specialist for the NJDEP. Kale will answer people’s questions following the presentation.
He will address topics including responsible dam ownership and energy protocols and he will provide information on topics of resident concern along sources to seek additional information. People do not have to be members of lake communities to attend the presentation.
