Girl Scouts hiking

The Junior Girl Scouts in Troop 94899 recently went on a hike on part of the Appalachian Trail in Vernon. The girls practiced reading trail signs and experienced hiking on boardwalks, an old railroad bed, a service road, a forest trail, and across a farmer's field. The girls have been taking on more responsibility for planning the troop activities and Katelyn Matthews was the "girl guide" for this trip.
