It's 'raining rabbits' at the West Milford Animal Shelter

It's raining cats and dogs is an expression that is used when there are very heavy rainstorms.
There is a twist on this expression by the volunteers at the West Milford Animal Shelter. They say "It's raining rabbits!" That is because there are nine rabbits currenly available for adoption. Seven of them are beautiful white baby bunnies with bits of black or gray fur on their noses or ears.
There are three males and four females. The runt of the litter is a male.
Their daddy, a beautiful rabbit with shiny black fur will be available for adoption after he is neutered. Their mommy is not available for adoption because she just had another litter of babies.
And there is another non-related rabbit named Aunt Helen who is a gray long-haired lionhead rabbit.
There is a lot of information available online about having rabbits as pets. Rabbits are an especially good choice for someone who wants a small companion that does not require a lot of room and is quiet. They are very social animals and, of course, they are very cute!
Meanwhile, Tank, an older, little dog, is looking for a new home, say shelter officials.
Come meet them, the cats and dogs and a few kittens who also need homes are waiting at the shelter. It is located on Lycosky Drive (behind the recycling center)
