Joseph Francis Lima of West Milford died on Wednesday, Nov. 15. He was 34.

Born in Suffern, N.Y., he was the son of Frances (Hopkins) Lima and Joseph Lima.

A lifelong resident of West Milford, Joseph was employed as a receiving clerk by ShopRite in West Milford and was actively involved in the rescue of pit bull dogs.

Also surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Nicholas Lima of West Milford, and a sister, Dr. Jessica Lima, of West Milford; paternal grandmother Helen Lima of Florida, N.Y., and maternal grandfather Deacon Farrell Hopkins of New City, N.Y. Friends may call at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford from 4-8 p.m. on Monday Nov. 20. A funeral Mass is set for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday Nov. 21 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 1911 Union Valley Road, Hewitt. Everyone is asked to meet at the church.

Interment will be at Warwick Cemetery, Warwick.
