'Owl' flies away with top prize in photography contest

The West Milford Camera Club annual contest and exhibition attracts photographers from as far away as central New Jersey.

This year's event was held on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the West Milford Presbyterian Church on Union Valley Road.

Taking Best in Show was "Owl" by Ted Breg.

Awards of excellence went to "Lily Pads" by Judy Gorab and "Pear" by Retta Cheng.

Winning honorable mentions were: "Tree" by Judy Gorab, "Peregrine" by Leesa Beckman, "In-stall" by Ruthann Mekita and "Motorcycle" by John Markanich.

The "Best in Show" winner received a prize of $50. The "awards of excellence" winners got $25 apiece.
