Music filled the air and fireworks filled the skies above McCormack Field in West Milford July 3 as the township celebrated the Fourth of July, the birthday of America.
More than 1,000 people filled the field to enjoy food, games, music and a fireworks show as night descended on the gathering.
Township Council members voted this year to waive the $10 admission fee.
A number of vendors provided a variety of foods, including hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks on a stick and funnel cakes to name a few.
Shuttle buses transported attendees from the parking lots by Macopin Middle School and West Milford High School to the field for the event.
