Andover — Adults and children over 5 years old are invited to Kittatinny Valley State Park on Feb. 10 from 5 to 6 p.m. to learn how to make a backyard bird feeder out of peanut butter.

The program is open to the public and includes a lecture on local winter birds and how to attract them to your backyard.

Pre-registration is $10 per person and walk-ins tickets are $15. Go to nj.gov/dep/parksandforests/calender/index.html to learn more.

A capella and beatboxing show

A kitchen showdown at Mayo"Chefs! The Sizzling Kitchen Showdown," comes to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. Tickets for this adults-only event are $29 to $49.

These hilarious (and delicious) chefs give you a peek behind the apron as they slice, dice, and spice things up in the kitchen through a series of escalating culinary challenges where the stakes are high: if they lose a challenge, they lose their shirt. Literally.

CHEFS is a fully interactive experience where you will vote for the winner and may even join the boiling hot chefs on-stage for uproarious cooking demonstrations.

Outrageously bold and hysterically funny, CHEFS is "too hot for TV," making it the perfect night out!

CHEFS is hosted by Chef Patrick Wilde. The Michelin-starred celebrity chef and world renowned restaurateurs hosts this tournament-type production for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to become a chef at his highly new anticipated restaurant, Eros.

Chef Patrick is a stripper-turned-chef who used the money he made from three long years on the pole to build his culinary empire. He is offering other made strippers the opportunity to "get off the pole, and into the pantry!"

Dog whisperer liveCesar Millan, star of the hit television series "Cesar 911" on NatGeo WILD and original host of the long-running series "Dog Whisperer," is coming to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Friday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $49 to $135 ($135 tickets include a post-show photo op with Cesar and his dog, Junior).

Cesar Millan is the pet care industry's most recognized and sought-after authority working in the field of dog care and rehabilitation. Millan will reveal the secrets of happier, healthier relationships between humans and their canine companions in his exciting live show. Cesar will share his philosophies and methods, then present examples via live training demonstrations with multiple dogs from local rescues. His famous four-legged companions, "Junior" and "Benson," will also join Cesar on stage.

Dinner, coffee and comedy— A dinner and comedy night fundraiser, featuring television personality Uncle Floyd, is being held at the Greenwood Lake Airport, 126 Airport Road, West Milford on Feb. 25.

Highlands Economic Development and Tourism Corporation (HEAT) is looking forward to a great 2018 and this fundraiser will help support their strong desire to continue promoting new community initiatives and events.

Floyd Vivino, aka “Uncle Floyd," was born in Paterson and is known for his comedy/variety TV show “The Uncle Floyd Show,” which ran from 1974 to 1998.

The show, which featured a puppet sidekick named Oogie, included performances by many musical artist, including The Smithereens, The Ramones, Bon Jovi, Peter Tork and Cyndi Lauper.

Tickets for the Uncle Floyd performance which includes a buffet dinner are $60 and can be purchased at this year’s sponsors Stra8 Java Coffee Shop located in the Bearfort Shopping Village, 1616H Union Valley Road, West Milford or from any HEAT member.

Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. followed by Uncle Floyd taking the stage. Seating is limited so get yours today.
