Maple Road students learn all about bees

Maple Road had a honeybee assembly with Cliff Sunflower, a master beekeeper and owner of Bear Honey Farms.
Sunflower talked about all the different jobs the bees had as part of the hive and the importance they played in keeping the hive healthy. All the kids were so enthusiastic and very happy that they all got to be part of the assembly. Everyone, including teachers, got to play the role of one of those jobs.
There were several tables set up with information about bees and Sunflower had a live hive with him, enclosed in glass.
The kids got to see how the bees actually worked together. Many of the kids were able to distinguish some of the jobs they were doing.
