Joshua Woodrow Spear of Upper Greenwood Lake, N.J., passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018. He was 27.
He was born in Warwick, N.Y., on Nov. 5, 1990, the son of William Edward Spear and Sandra Lynn (Troost) Spear.
Josh was employed as a welder and most recently worked at Kenco in Hewitt, N.J.
He was a member of the Living Word Church family.
Josh was an avid fisherman, hunter and scuba diver. He also enjoyed motorcycles.
He will be fondly remembered for his loving and giving heart.
Josh is survived by his son Aiden Woodrow Spear of West Milford, N.J.; his parents Sandra and William of Hewitt; brothers Steven Lont and his wife Colleen of New Windsor, N.Y., and Christopher Lont and his wife Lauren of Mountain Top, Pa.; sister Tara Elizabeth Spear of Hewitt; grandmothers Evelyn Troost of North Haledon, N.J., and Joan Lont of Warwick, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and companion, Isaura Beato of Hewitt. N.J.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at Mulder Chapel, 62 Warwick Center Road, Warwick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Living Word Church, 93 N. Lake Shore Drive, Hewitt, NJ 07421; Warwick Conference Center, 62 Warwick Center Road, Warwick, NY 10990; or Journey Church of the Highlands, 184 Marshall Hill Road, West Milford, NJ 07480.
