HEWITT — Upper Greenwood Lake Elementary School held its 8th annual Scooter Bowl event at West Milford High School on March 22.

Students who played scooter football throughout the year had the opportunity to compete in the school's playoffs, which ultimately led to the championship game.

The Saints handily defeated the Falcons 23 - 5.

At the Scooter Bowl, students entered a raffle: Third-grader Hannah Wosyluk was chosen to be Principal for the Day and sixth-grader Breanna Ianos was chosen to be Phys. Ed. Teacher for the Day.

At halftime, students competed in scooter races and a half court throw to try and score a football into the basketball hoop.

Phys. Ed. teacher Mr. Brophy and Macopin Middle School teacher Mr. Matrun run the scooter football program at Upper Greenwood Lake Elementary School.
