Rock historian will hold talk at West Milford library
Beatles lovers will gather at the West Milford Township Library on Wednesday, May 16 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for an entertaining, interactive and informative program on the creation of "The Beatles" eighth studio album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Rock historian Vinnie Bruno engages casual listeners and hardcore Beatles fan alike, following in the footsteps of The Beatles during their musical creative process.
Explore the genesis of how the songs were written, their influences, recording and production techniques, and the iconic cover art.
Vincent Bruno is a rock historian with focus on The Beatles and The Sixties who recently retired as Director of First Year Programs at LaGuardia Community College. He holds an MPA from Baruch College and was an adjunct professor for the past 25 years.
As a Beatles scholar and storyteller, he looks to not just embrace their legacy but to present a program to inform the casual listener as well as the hardcore Beatles fan.
