Playful kitten is ready for a forever home

A few months ago, two young female kittens arrived at the West Milford Animal Shelter who were extremely scared and frightened.

They were overwhelmed by other cats and lots of new people. To help them adjust, they were sent to a foster home so they could be socialized in a quieter environment.

One of the kittens, Acorn, adjusted a bit faster than her sister Chestnut. Acorn was returned to the shelter and was a featured Pet of the Week. She was adopted shortly after being featured.

Her sister Chestnut recently returned to the shelter and is now a loving and playful young girl.

She has a quiet and gentle disposition and likes to take her time getting to know new people but within a few minutes she starts to purr and ask for attention.

Hopefully, being the featured Pet of the Week will work for Chestnut, too, and she will soon have a loving family and home of her own.

The shelter is located on Lycosky Drive (behind recycling), 973-728-2859, facebook/The Real Cats at WMASS and facebook/The West Milford Animal Shelter.
