The most popular jingle in 1977 was for the soft drink Dr. Pepper and it had a very catchy theme song.

Not everyone knew all the words to the jingle but lots of people were singing the line most everyone remembered:

"I'm a Pepper he's a Pepper she's a Pepper we're a Pepper wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?"

There's a cute little dog available for adoption at the West Milford Animal Shelter who makes everyone think of that commercial. This cutie is named Pepper.

So now the lyrics have a new twist:

"I'm a Pepper he's a Pepper she's a Pepper we're a Pepper wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?

Us Peppers are an interesting breed

Come meet me and you'll see

Wouldn't you like me to be your Pepper?

Adopt me and I'll be yours

And you'll be a Pepper too!"

Pepper is a 6-year-old male and is neutered and up-to-date with all inoculations.

For information, call 973-728-2859 or facebook/The West Milford Animal Shelter. The shelter is located on Lycosky Drive (behind recycling).
