James Thomas Stapleton, Jr., 75, of West Milford, N.J. Born in Jersey City, N.J.

He was the son of the late James T. and Louise (Jacovino) Stapleton, Sr. and a resident of West Milford for the past 37 years.

A Navy veteran, he was employed by Gardner Denver International as an air compressor technician. James was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and the Cycle Alley Riders of Paterson, N.J. Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Thomas (husband James) of Randolph and Alecia Seliga (husband Christopher) of Wayne, two brothers, Bernard of West Milford and Arthur of Rochelle Park and four grandchildren, Christopher and Katie Seliga, and Andrew and Matthew Thomas.

Friends may call at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Thursday, June 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 15 (at time to be announced). Interment at Cedar Heights Cemetery, West Milford will follow.
