Louie is the 'Pet of the Week' ready for adoption

The West Milford Animal Shelter's Christmas in July adoption event was a summer time present for two cats and one kitten who now have families and homes to call their own.

They went to their new homes with a plastic sand pail filled with treats and supplies for the new lives.

That brings the total number of adoptions for the first half of July to four cats, six kittens and one rabbit.

There are other cats, kittens and dogs who hope they will be the next lucky ones.

There is Louie, the lion cat who has his own personal song, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."

Louie is staying in one of the shelter's catteries, where the cats are free roaming with inside and outside enclosures, their own personal "jungle."
