HEWITT — Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Parish is planning a special afternoon of reflection for all Christian women, "Only God Can Make a Tree: Rooted in Love," on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, 1911 Union Valley Road, Hewitt.
Women will gather for silent reflection, sharing and prayer. They will learn about the spiritual practice called The Examen, a technique of prayerful reflection on the events of the day in order to detect God’s presence and to discern his direction in everyday life.
The program, open to all Christian women, will include Mass and lunch, prayer-filled mindfulness, and presentations. A free-will offering will be accepted.
