WEST MILFORD - The Pine Cliff Lake community held its first Pig Roast during the weekend at the community’s Club House to raise funds for the club house and other community events.

The organizer of the event, Dan “Bubba” Labita, is a lifelong resident of the community.

"It's so nice we had such a great turn out for this event, I grew up here and I really want to give back to the community," Labita said. " I want to thank the Pine Cliff Lake Community for allowing me to do this to raise funds for our community, and everyone that helped out to make this a great success."

Former owner of West Milford's Uncle Chubby's, Steve DeKorte, was the pig roast master.

"It's great that so many people are come to support our lake community," resident Laura Katona said.

The event is now planned to be held every year, according to organizers.

“This is only the first one, we are going to do this every year now, and it’s (going to be) open to the public," Labita said.
