Ramaglia has the right relationships to help West Milford

A recent letter to the editor criticized Republican mayoral candidate Mike Ramaglia for holding a campaign event at the Brownstone in Paterson. Ironically, it is that Brownstone event that provides perhaps the most compelling evidence of the reason Mike Ramaglia is the best candidate to serve as West Milford’s mayor.

The event in question was the idea of Passaic County Republican Chairman John Traier, who insisted Mike hold the event after an outpouring of support from state-level legislators when Mike announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination to become West Milford’s mayor. You see Mike Ramaglia, in addition to serving as the Passaic County Republican campaign chairman in 2013, also served as the Passaic County coordinator for Governor Christie’s re-election campaign. During this time period, Mike fostered many strong and positive relationships with state officials. Among the many dignified attendees at Brownstone event to support Mike were notable Republicans such as state Senator Kevin O’Toole, state Senator Gerald Cardinale, former state Senator Norm Robertson, Assemblyman Scott Rumana, Assemblyman David Russo, Assemblyman Robert Auth, former Assemblyman and Passaic County Prosecutor Ronald Fava, Passaic County Republican Chairman John Traier, Essex County Republican Chairman Al Barlas, and former West Milford Mayor Thomas Parisi.

All of these individuals took time from their busy schedules to come and support Mike Ramaglia for mayor. If anything is to be done for the plight of West Milford taxpayers we will need support from Trenton, and perhaps even a modest level of cooperation from Newark. Most local politicians talk of fostering relationships with state and county officials, Mike Ramaglia already has those relationships established as evidenced by his Brownstone campaign event.

West Milford has always needed a voice in Trenton, and as councilman, Mike Ramaglia initiated the hiring of a lobbyist for West Milford whose efforts have already saved the town $500,000. As mayor, Mike Ramaglia will provide West Milford with a voice in county and state government through the extensive network of officials he has come to know as a loyal, hardworking member of the Republican party. Please join me on June 2 in voting for West Milford by voting Row "A" for Mike Ramaglia as the Republican candidate for mayor and Vivienne Erk and Phil Weisbecker as the Republican candidates for town council.
