It was an 'eggceptional' spring celebration

    Connor Feehan, 5, was one of the lucky few who found a "golden egg" and won a giant chocolate bunny. His 3-year-old brother, Dillon, is looking forward to sharing the bounty.

WEST MILFORD — Hundreds showed up for the township's "Egg-ceptional Spring Celebration" on Saturday, run by the Community Services and Recreation Department. This year was a little different. It was the first ever flashlight egg hunt and boy did the kids have fun.

Of course there were other activities, including sand art and balloon animals along with a treats station.

The annual bonnet/hat contest was a treat this year as well. Even the winning hat was a treat - a jelly bean treat. Two-year-old Mila Chesk took the prize for the best bonnet. It just happened to be adorned with so many colorful jelly beans, she needed assistance holding it up.

The highlight for many is the visit with the Bunny. Parents brought their cameras to get a shot of their kids searching for the eggs but also having that special moment with the Bunny.
