WEST MILFORD – Quarterback Zackary Milko put on a show Friday night, passing for one touchdown and then running in two to lead the Highlanders to a 21-8 victory over Jefferson at home.

Following a scoreless first quarter, Milko hit receiver Ryan Coyle with a 34-yard scoring pass and later in the second quarter, running it in from 11 yards out to put the Highlanders on top for good.

Jefferson made it interesting in that period, with a touchdown and 2-point conversion, briefly giving them an 8-7 lead.

After a scoreless third quarter, Milko again took the ball into the end zone from 1-yard out.

He also made the three point after kicks on each of the scores.
