Stonehill Pottery holiday sale offers unique gifts

WEST MILFORD - Stonehill Pottery Shop is having its annual Holiday Sale Friday and Sat Nov. 23 and 24 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 25, 1-6 p.m., owner Maria Glaser-Roeser said.

She said that affordable handmade pottery and other crafts will be on sale, with many items under $30.

Glaser- Roeser has been the owner of the Stonehill Pottery Shop on Union Valley Road for more than 25 years.

She said has invited other crafters to join her in the weekend sale, and there will be handmade organic soaps, glass aquariums with succulents, homemade cookies, chocolate bark, hand sewn gifts, silk Christmas decorations, herb sachets and body wraps.

The store will offer refreshments of hot apple cider and homemade cookies while customers shop, she said.

A potter for more than 35 years, Glaser-Roeser said she loves her job enjoys creating pottery and getting positive feedback from her customers.

She said all the wares are made in her basement studio, and include functional wares consisting of a collection of mugs, bowls platters, vases, and other items in various glaze colors.

She said all are safe for oven, microwave and dishwasher.

She also creates decorative pieces, different styles and techniques for display.

All her work has a special flare to it be it whimsical or sculptural, extra thought and care into each piece, she said.

Stonehill Pottery Shop is open until Christmas, Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Customers can call if they want to come a different time, she said.
