WEST MILFORD – The Lady Highlanders, led by a 17-point performance from Rachel Chandler, beat DePaul 43-33 in the final round of the Blue and Gold Tournament in Pequannock Friday afternoon.

After a dominant first half that had West Milford leading 30-14, the Spartans came out strong in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Lady Highlanders 12-3.

It wasn’t enough, however, as West Milford was able to hold on for the win with the strong play of Chandler, who was selected Player of the Game. Junior Ashley Jacobs also had a big game, racking up seven points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the contest.
