  • Girl Scout troop 96514 went to Sandy Hook on April 6 to work on earning their 'It's Our World' Journey badge. They spent nearly 1 1/2 hours cleaning up about a 1/4 mile stretch of beach at Sandy Hook National Park. They collected two bags of recyclable plastic and glass, two bags of trash, and large trash items. submitted photo




  • Maple Road's YouthAct Club had 5th graders stay after on April 5 to help celebrate the upcoming Earth Day. They drew save-the-planet themed artwork on reuseable canvas bags that were then donated to the food pantryin townto be used when food is given out instead of plastic bags. submitted photo
