Some township residents spent the day Saturday picking up litter and cleaning up along the town's roads and wooded areas.

The annual Beautification Day then wrapped up at Bubbling Springs Park on Macopin Road with a party including hot dogs for those participating.

Among the items recovered during the cleanup, one resident found old film crates used to bring the prints of movies to theaters.
