Going into Monday’s loss, the Lady Highlanders were coming off of a big home win over Lakeland High School in the quarterfinals of the Passaic County Tournament.

West Milford (fourth-seeded) scored its first two runs in the bottom of the third, then three more the following inning and its last two in the sixth for the 7-0 shutout victory.

Lakeland was the fifth seed in the tournament.
