Helping out

Girl Scout Troop 96514, in an effort to earn their Agent of Change Journey badge, worked with Wendy Becker, the Apshaws Elementary School social worker, to learn about the "Weekend Backpack Program" that they have at their school.

The girls then spent time gathering nutritious snacks and simple meal items to donate to the program.

Then on May 2, the girls went to Apshawa school and spent the afternoon packing up 14 backpacks with the food they collected to then be given out to support families within the community.
